Exterior of Nedeljko Savić's shop for paints and chemical supplies. It has a door and a shop window, as well as a horizontal and three vertical advertising signs describing the shop's wares.
Comment:
The owner's headquarters were in Kolarac Street, his factory in Radenik Street. The photograph was probably taken for advertising purposes.
View of a funfair under construction from above. The focus is on a carousel ('ringešpil') in the centre of the photograph. Two ladders are leaning against it, and building materials are spread around. Behind it to the left is another circular construction made of wood, featuring paired bicycles rotating around a centre pole. The foreground is dominanted by a stage-like construction equipped with electrical lamps and a horizontal signboard seen from behind. A man is standing in the area between the stage and the carousel. He is dressed all in white with a dark bow tie, is holding his hands on his hips and has a pipe in his mouth. In the background, a row of wagons loaded with wooden boards can be distinguished against the park fence. Behind it are residential buildings and pedestrians walking down a street.
Comment:
This funfair was probably located in Mali Kalemegdan, near the corner of Tadeuš Koščuški and Strahinjić Ban streets, where a permanent amusement park ('Luna park') is still situated today.
